ANEW, the Association for a New Educator Workforce, serves over 30 entities and organizations across New York including the NYC Department of Education and United Federation of Teachers (UFT), representing the largest school district in the nation. ANEW members provide the region, state, and nation with the capacity to meet the workforce challenges of tomorrow through the education and care of our children today.

ANEW is a statewide association committed to strengthening New York State’s educator and child-centered workforce through high-quality Registered Apprenticeship Programs.

As a member of ANEW, organizations have access to:

  • Participation in a group-sponsored (joint or non-joint) Registered Apprenticeship Program as an employer signatory, without the administrative burden of registering a program independently;

  • Contextualized and targeted technical assistance for programs and best practices around recruitment, onboarding, retention, and growth;

  • A collaborative community of practice with other entities including employer signatories, union partners, and institutions of higher education working to build sustainable, supported pathways into educator and child-center workforce opportunities.

ANEW is a resource and technical assistance partner for workforce solutions that enable members to operate more effectively and serves as the voice and workforce solution leader for child-serving entities across New York State. Through the collective voice, ANEW is able to speak on the issues impacting education communities and entities serving children.
