AppleCORE

Education is fundamentally a service career. Educators provide service to their students, families, and community.

AppleCORE members, as Apprentices, are enrolled in an Educator Preparation Program working towards obtaining their graduate degree and initial teaching certification. They serve full time in a classroom throughout the school year, and also participate in summer programs and school community activities.

AppleCORE members:

• Build practical classroom and leadership skills through immersive, hands-on experience;

• Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced educators and school leaders;

• Connect coursework directly to daily practice;

• Become embedded in school and community environments;

• Grow personally and professionally through service, reflection, and collaboration;

• Help create stronger opportunities and outcomes for children and families.
