The educator shortage is one of the most pressing challenges in the state and nation. We know, educating students is a service career at its core. We recognize the cost of becoming an educator is high with other barriers into the profession such as unpaid field hours or clinical placement hours.
AppleCORE, an AmeriCorps program*, brings together the service component with a paid apprenticeship component to address the needs of communities and meet the challenges head-on.
